Kevin Breen leads all scorers with 24 points after the opening weekend of the Coors Light St. John's Touch Football League. He helped the Goldens beat The Pack 28-8 and the Falcons 18-12 to begin the 2003 season.

In women's action, Kim Maher scored 19 points for The Republic as they beat Hickman Motors 12-6 and Sirens 32-0.

Elsewhere in men's action, Hurricanes beat Gulls 19-0 with Keith Matthews leading the way with 7 points and Mustangs began the defence of their 2002 title with a 20-8 win over the Falcons. Tim Hoskins scored 2 touchdowns and had 3 interceptions for Mustangs.

In other women's games, Renegades beat Sirens 18-0. Pamela White had a touchdown and 3 interceptions for Renegades. And Normies Heat continued in championship form as they beat Hickman Motors 12-7 in overtime in a rematch of last years final. Fiona Curtis led Normies with a touchdown and a sack.
